Blaauwbergstrand | Melkbosstrand | West Coast National Park| Postberg | Darling | Yzerfontein
From Blaauwbergstrand we head North to visit the arid and desolate West Coast. We reach the West Coast National Park, and pay a leisurely visit to Postberg, an ecologically sensitive area that is specially opened to the public during the brief flower season. Most of the time will be spent in this area so that the flowers can be enjoyed to the fullest.
On route back we stop at the Tienie Versfeld Flower reserve for a brief view of this transformed wonderland and then a briefly visit to Darling, a little village tuckled away between hills of vineyards and golden wheatfields. Time Permitting, we visit the seaside village of Yzerfontein, which typifies the natural beauty and simplicity of the area.
The town is laid out around rocky cape and harbour and is best known for its tranquility, west coast hospitality, 16 mile beach, spring flowers and breathtaking views.
